要旨

In the present paper, the liquefaction potential and the change in effective stress associated with the gap between the water pressure on the ground surface and the pore water pressure in the ground induced by tsunami inundation have been numerically studied. From the numerical analysis, the following results have been found: (1) The effective stress increases as the inundation depth increases. (2) In contrast, degradation of the ground occurs as the effective stress decreases during the lowering of the water level amidst a tsunami. (3) The degradation of the ground extends to a maximum depth of 5.0 m.
