{"id":16,"date":"2023-03-28T13:32:52","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T04:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wps.itc.kansai-u.ac.jp\/transl\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2026-01-23T15:40:17","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T06:40:17","slug":"project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wps.itc.kansai-u.ac.jp\/transl\/project\/","title":{"rendered":"T-WRQoL Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-weight:600\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700\">\u7ffb\u8a33\u8005\u306e\u52b4\u50cd\u751f\u6d3b\u306e\u8cea\u3068\u7ffb\u8a33\u30c6\u30af\u30ce\u30ed\u30b8\u30fc\u3068\u306e\u95a2\u9023\u6027<\/p>\n<cite>Impacts of technology use on translators&#8217; work-related quality of life<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a principal investigator of this Kaken-funded project (<a href=\"https:\/\/kaken.nii.ac.jp\/ja\/grant\/KAKENHI-PROJECT-22K20040\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">22K20040<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/kaken.nii.ac.jp\/ja\/grant\/KAKENHI-PROJECT-25K04108\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/kaken.nii.ac.jp\/ja\/grant\/KAKENHI-PROJECT-25K04108\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">25K04108<\/a>) which measures the quality of translators\u2019 working lives, including their job satisfaction and work motivation. The outcomes will offer evidence-based information for the language industry to ensure that the industry maintains highly skilled and motivated language workers in the long term. This is an international and inter-disciplinary project, which are conducted across different countries, including the UK, US and Japan. This is a collaborative project with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iti.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI)<\/a>, UK&#8217;s largest professional body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The T-WRQoL scale<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The T-WRQoL scale developed in this project is available <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1WMY2mF6AvpaSOI6fbaTPOED70EjWKtQT\/view?usp=drive_link\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1fmwg2pfbLSUhgdOY_pxnDWsFFnmlDaMJ\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<br>The T-WRQoL scale is free to use for non-commercial, educational or research purposes only.
