A Perspective paper co-authored by members of the Omega Nucleic Acid (ΩNA) Discussion Group, established last year with Dr. Shogo Hamada (Institute of Science Tokyo), Dr. Keiji Murayama (Nagoya University), Prof. Yusuke Takezawa (Shibaura Institute of Technology), Dr. Ryojun Toyoda (Tohoku University), and Aki, has been published in Molecules.

We proposed a concept for developing the ultimate nucleic acid = Omega Nucleic Acid (ΩNA), suitable for use in extreme environments such as living organisms and outer space. The photo shows the “ultimate nucleic acid” conceived by Google Gemini (not used in the paper).
