Each thio\u00adphene ring is twisted by about 25\u201329\u00b0 relative to the adjacent phenyl\u00adene ring, giving a distorted\u00a0\u03c0-conjugated framework. In the crystal, mol\u00adecules are linked through multiple C\u2014H\u22ef\u03c0\u00a0inter\u00adactions into two-dimensional sheets, which extend into a three-dimensional network. A Cambridge Structural Database survey revealed no prior examples of tri\u00adphenyl\u00adamines bearing 3,4-di\u00admeth\u00adoxy\u00adthio\u00adphen units at the\u00a0<em>para<\/em>\u00a0positions.
