The\u00a0radical cations\u00a0obtained by the one-electron\u00a0oxidation\u00a0of these amines show a significant absorption in the near-infrared region. In particular, the derivative with three\u00a0hexyl groups\u00a0has excellent solubility, and its radical cation has a\u00a0maximum absorption\u00a0wavelength above 1400\u00a0nm. DFT calculations support these experimental results.
