The 2011 Convention for the Promotion of Collaboration Among Business, Academic, and Government in Osaka was held on February 22 (Tuesday), 2011 at the Osaka International Convention Center.

International Meeting 2010
CASE STUDIES IN THE CONSERVATION OF WALL PAINTINGS

A International Meeting was held at Kansai University on November 13 (Saturday), 2010.
Focusing the case of restoration of the Egyptian wall paintings, the meeting introduced Japanese, Polish, Chinese mural restoration cases, and the philosophy.
This workshop held eight oral presentations, nine poster displays, and an exhibit of the mural painting.

Connected to an International Meeting, Ahmed Shoeib (Conservation and Restoration Group), Adel Akarish (Conservation and Restoration Group), Dr. Władysław Zalewski (Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland), Ewa Roznerska (Conservation and Restoration Group), Mr. Sabry Mohy el-Din Farag (Saqqara Inspectorate), Mr. Mostafa Ahmed Abd el-Fatah (Saqqara Inspectorate), Hiroshi Suita (Culture and Town Group), Yoshinobu Nakamura (Technology Development Group), and Ryuichi Arakawa (Technology Development Group) visited the Takamatsuzuka Tomb to observe mural painting restoration work.
This visit was extremely useful for the ICP members of various nationalities (Egyptian, Polish, and Japanese) to establish a common image of restoration centered on Japanese technology.

The Japan Society for Scientific Studies on Cultural Properties
June 2010
The 27th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Scientific Studies on Cultural Properties, centered on the ICP, was held at Kansai University over two days from June 26 (Saturday) to 27 (Sunday), 2010. This successful meeting was attended by 439 people.
Japanese experts in the field of cultural properties presented the results of their research through oral presentations and poster displays in the categories of general cultural properties, conservation science, ancient environments, production areas, material properties and techniques, age measurement, and investigation.
The purpose of Japan Society for Scientific Studies on Cultural Properties is the development and promotion of interdisciplinary research related to cultural properties in the two fields of the humanities and natural sciences. Through this meeting, the ICP was able to fulfill an important role in bringing researchers together.
