14th seminar was held on July 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This time, instead of reading \u201cNew Introduction to Spectral Analysis of Earthquake Motions\u201d, we tentatively decided on the title of our thesis for the \u201cJoint Interim Presentation of Geotechnical Engineering in August (Geotechnical Disaster Prevention, Design Geotechnics, and Professional Management)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The (tentative) themes for this year&#8217;s fourth-year students were decided as follows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Model experiments at 1G field on the control of pipeline uplift by quarry columns<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Effectiveness of liquefaction countermeasures for residential land in the Noto Peninsula 2024 earthquake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application of hybrid FEM-SPH analysis method to slope failure phenomena<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modeling impermeable layers using highly viscous fluids in model experiments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numerical analysis of sloping settlement behavior of adjacent direct foundation structures on liquefied ground Numerical investigation of tilt-settlement behavior of adjacent direct foundation structures on liquefied ground<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mechanism of collapsible landslides in volcanic ash soils<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accurate ground structure estimation using microtremor H\/V spectra and depth learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimation method of fine grain content using ground information database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They also discussed their thesis topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Less than a month has passed until the midterm presentations, so let&#8217;s
