{"id":62,"date":"2023-12-21T14:29:29","date_gmt":"2023-12-21T05:29:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wps.itc.kansai-u.ac.jp\/concrete\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2024-03-06T11:37:20","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T02:37:20","slug":"introduction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wps.itc.kansai-u.ac.jp\/concrete\/introduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the Composite Materials and Structures laboratory, all phenomena related to the design, construction and maintenance of concrete structures are studied through experiments and analyses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our goal is to logically explain the understanding and interaction of phenomena occurring in the various scales level, such as microscopic (nm), mesoscopic (mm), and macroscopic (m) scales, from the point of view of material engineering and structural engineering, as well as basic knowledge of physical chemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, we are conducting the nonlinear structural analysis using the Finite Element Method and Rigid Body Spring Model for evaluating the long-term time-dependent behavior of concrete structures sufferred from material deterioration and environmental impacts, and predicting of deterioration and safety evaluation of concrete structures.
