The Researcher

Ana Sofia Hofmeyr, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Faculty or Foreign Language Studies at Kansai University, Japan. Her work focuses on developing intercultural and global competence among university students in Japan, particularly among students who do not have opportunities to go abroad. She is interested in internationalization at home initiatives and also on how intercultural competence is conceptualized and addressed in different cultures and settings.

アナ ソフィア ホフメア博士は日本の関西大学外国語学部の准教授です。彼女の研究は、特に海外へ行く機会のない日本の大学生を対象に、異文化能力そしてグローバルな能力を育成することに焦点を当てています。また、国内での国際化に関心を持ち、異文化能力がさまざまな文化や環境でどのように概念化され、扱われているかについても研究しています。
